I got the LC-1 and the LX3 together as a package second hand. Not sure where the seller got it from, but in US there are a few online retailers who carry it.

screen protector for LCD that's all, i dun think dust problem on the lens is disturbing. just wipe them off.

The LC-1 has a bayonet mount. Even though you can force it onto the LX3 the pressure will deform the LC-1 slightly. So the better way is to slice away some of the material on the LC1 to make a better fit.

The padding on the 3 petals are necessary to increase the openning angle at the "tele" end of the zoom and thus preventing the petals from blocking the corners of the FOV. I used 2 layers of 3M double sided foam tape alternating with pieces cut from a thin sheet of black plastic.
