Yes, the shadows from the flash actually somewhat spoilt the photo but no choice no flash = slow speed = no hand held as I'm using Fuji Reala. Anyway, I'm just an amateur, what would u do in such situations? Give some tips : )

Fuji Reala is the wrong choice there... hehehe. For indoors, use higher speed film like ISO 400 or 800. Though a few of these films are grainy, this is better to have a sharp and grainy photo than a blur one. These film speeds can give good ambient light with the right shutter speeds like 1/60, 1/90.
