"seventh cheapest out of 25 cities around the world." wow... I am impressed... lol :bsmilie: which 25 cities...

If you get 24 other ugly males to stand with me, I will probably ranked 7th too.

In fairness, it can be significantly cheaper here than, say, Europe, new York, etc...

Though on that list, the Manila fares are the "official" fares. Once it's evening rush hour or they find out you're a tourist, the rates triple.

how come Malaysia not on that list ?

oops sorry..... they have meters ... just that they dont turn it on

i dont mind paying more for HK taxis because they are extremely familiar with even the weirdest road names and buildings ... worth the money

Japan taxis are expensive but surprisingly enjoyable for short rides ..... its SO spotlessly clean and neat and the driver wears a suit and hat too !

Not too mention the white gloves. I bet the taxi drivers would also be able to give medical assistance .. which might be required after long trips when they present the bill :bsmilie:

Singapore is actually the 19th highest on this list and if you randomly choose 300 cities around the world we will probably in the top most expensive 20%.

It's true. Our fares are really cheaper than many, if not in all advanced 1st world countries.

Dont start comparing with Bangkok, Malaysia, indo, india......

Yeah, we should only compare our salaries with those of London, Tokyo, Paris, New York, Hong Kong, etc
