Most flatbed scanners from the big brands today can scan pretty well, esp for reflective materials like photographs. Try getting one that can scan multiple photos (and save them in individual files) at one go, to save you time. There're some like the Canon series that can spot and retouch dust and scratches from the photos, so you don't need to spend frustrating hours retouching them. A 1200 dpi scanner will be very sufficient for your needs...
