If you are using BB, esp ADSL BB, you may consider to host it yourself.

With home BB your IP changes frequently, so you need to get a dynamic DNS (eg jacky.dyndns.com) and run some client that will auto scan and report your new IP after every change in IP.

The software part WindowsNT/2000/XP profesional edition and above come with IIS, or you can use other software also.

Pros:
unlimited space
no ad
no need to upload

cons:
limited bandwidth
you comp must be on all the time
less reliable.

Identify yourself so I can give some discount. hehe. Probably 10 dollars/mth for 100mb of space, space can be neg. as I've got 80GB of it to spare now.. buying 2 more scsi hdd in the next half month.

And also.. bandwidth is unlimited ( subject to proper usage, no warez,pornz,mp3z ). Although if you dun really suck my connection dry, I won't go and check. *blink*.

no banner no ads and you get a subdomain with a nice name.

if you don't wanna settle for a subdomain,
get your own @ differenthost for 99cents!

there's f2g.net...free 15mb with no banner...recently i found out about liquid2k.com which offers 20mb free, no banners, external linking but no ftp upload...only browser uploading.

not a very good idea as ADSL has a low bandwidth for uploading, high for downloading. your website will be very slow when accessing by others. especialy when it is a graphic intense site.

anyway I got my server space for free. it is good to know some friends who are in the industry.
