Wearing specs + DSLR = your specs smudge?

i mean, seriously, just look at the first post in the thread
your attitude is obviously one of jest
all these problems that have been brought up recently, i really don't understand why they should be a concern. they are so minor and trivial that no serious person would ever think of it in the first place. as opposed to say, changing lenses in a windy desert, or amongst a swarm of bees. those are actually more valid since the problems there are serious problems.
spectacles smudge, then don't use lor.. then when editing also don't wear, because maybe when you bend forward to look at your pictures more closely your spectacles might touch the monitor and kena smudge
i can be more ridiculous if i wanted to, but frankly, if you are serious, please don't bother about it

I dont seem to be getting this problem. Try cleaning your rubber eye piece.. Issit that when you sling it some sweat gets onto the rubber from your arm or something?
Do have some suggestions:
1)Dont put so close to your specs. A 5mm gap is still comfortable and easy if your nose is shaped like mine. hahhas
2) REmove the rubber eyepiece part. Push it up slowly or read your manual.

Actually, I kinda agree with night86mare that the questions here are getting really inane. Is the problem that mind-boggling that we have to discuss possible solutions?
Or maybe, this is a symptom of a greater problem of our society, that we have been so well conditioned by our education system that we really need to depend on what others tell us before we can solve a problem?

I have this same problem if I try to shot with specs on, it's quite annoying for me
I prefer to shoot without specs, I can see clearly if I adjust the diopter, so I put my glasses away or push it up or down when taking photographs

there are 2 main categories of questions:
1) the really basic ones, which, as educated citizens of the internet (i mean, you *ARE* posting in clubsnap, so that means you know how to use google at the very least).. most of us would already know the magical wonders of either:
a. google, your best friend
b. wikipedia, your second best friend
c. yahoo, the girl you wanted to date but found out she wasn't as pretty as google
d. well, if you really must use msn search, you can :think:
you catch the drift, no? i am always, along with most other people here, more than happy to answer questions to which the answers are not easily found on the internet. as in, REALLY EASILY. as in, if you TYPE IN "what is gnd?" "what is iso setting?" etc etc etc, ask google and ye shalt receive questions.
under this category there would be the even more amusing sort.. which belong to more like "how do i power on my camera?" - you get the idea. there is also the "how much is this item costing right now" variety and "please tell me what camera to buy" variety - the former means that you are simply too lazy to make a few, cheap phone calls, and the latter means you want an answer to a question which has no answer. the best part is, sometimes, these threads will be posted as a salvo, 2 hours apart, one thread right above the other.
2. questions that probably need more than just typing in google. stuff like, composition - i have not found a consolidated good site on this, to be frank, there are dribs and drabs and there is nothing which allows one to pass judgement on his picture right away. other stuff like photoshop techniques, where one has to filter through many sites where you have to pay money for something you can easily obtain on specialised sites like clubsnap. i mean, come on, if you're really interested in photography after a while you'd be able to differentiate category 1 and 2.
i'm sure you've been there. like in school, the people who ask questions which help improve your understanding on the subject, or the people who ask questions which seek to simply waste the teacher's time and yours as well. i do not refer to slower students, that is still fine, but there are those who have not done their homework, and wish the teacher to focus all attention on them, think for them, and spoonfeed them like they are 3 years old still and sitting on a high chair. this category, would all belong to 1.
in any case, ts has highlighted that he is serious about the topic, in which i have tried to reply him to the best of my abilities via pm, so the matter is more or less settled between both of us, i would categorise it as a misunderstanding. i misconstrued that he was trying to make a joke inappropriately, based on the previous nose on lcd thread. i have apologised, though i will still declare disbelief that he is asking such a question.
Honestly, its a public website and a public forum for people to post & interact on with whatever (under the relevant forums of course). One man's trivia could be another's serious concern!?! :think:
Also if some one feels the question/issue is too inane or trivial, the choice is always there to move on to the next thread or onto another of interest. No one forces an opinion or makes it mandatory to answer...!?!

specs smudging is a very real problem and yes i do face this problem. Overcome this? Live with it. Short of going for Lasik.
