Hi all,
thanks to the encouraging response i saw from an earlier thread, i decided to start a fresh thread here.

Please keep your opinions and photos only to manual focus nikon lenses.

It would be good to keep per post to a specific lens, so that others can appreciate the legendary quality that has made Nikon one of the leaders in optical and photographic equipment.

To start off i am posting 2 photos taken with the Nikkor 35mm f1.4 ais.

D7000 with AIS 85mm f1.4 @5.6
The sharpest lens of mine, sharper than my AF 50mm f1.4 a lot.The disadvantage is sometimes too far for portrait in my DX format camera.

i have a 50 1.4 AI'D ... really love the feel and character of this lens. don't have any representative shots to show for now though.

here's something i posted on another thread: a site to check the age of your lens based on serial number :)

btw anybody got shots from the 105 1.8 or 2.5 to show?

yah this is one legendery lens...hearsay one of the sharpest, contrasty amongg all the other f1.2...its ard USD 3k..and the price don seems to drop much..

by e way, 20mm f2.8 AIS is rather rare as well..:)

Yeah, I am also one of those who's very fond of the feel of these MF lenses -- the build quality back then is just so much better than even the very expensive new AFS primes nowadays. IQ is excellent too. Here are some of my samples :)

All taken with Fuji S5pro.

1. 50 f1.8 series E @ f8

2. 50 f1.8 series E @ f1.8 - IMO its sharp, sharper than the AF/AF-D version

3. 55 f1.2 @ f1.2 - I love the sharpness wide open.
