I believe you are using Auto White Balance which, in my opinion sucks for a G2. Probably explain why there is a orange cast in your pictures. (similar to the one old and the modern).

Yes, I agree, but see the colours of the flowers and the grasses, it is too orangy. Maybe can use custom WB.

I would not call it fake, as I believe that the actual scene was orangy, but definitely not as orangy as the photo look.

To IamJeFfy, was the actual scene and the photo the same? :dunno:

yes. i remember looking at the flowers by the side and intented to test a macro shot on it but it looked quite orangey unless i on the flash.

i might remember it wrongly too. :dunno:

The autofocus in the G2 is not very good, especially in low light situation. :(

Can overcome by using the MF button located at the left side of the camera (LCD facing you).
