Hi,
took these shots during one bored hot night back home in Indonesia.
my home city, Medan have recently experience frequent blackouts due to insufficient supply of electricity.
It goes as long as 4 hours per blackout and up to 3 times a day.
so, i began thinking of what to shoot during these times of no power supply.
one night, i began melting candles and started shooting this !
my only main power of light is from my 580EX, the candle itself and a torchlight that i shone on the wax for focus prior to dropping the melted wax.

I thought they turned out cool and would like to know what do you guys think about it.

comments and critique is greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

Very nice, the dripping wax looks really good... :) Different from the usual symmetry I see from other pictures.

Very very nice....any PP done?
Care to share how you did it? :D

thanks :)
PP done to adjust contrast and saturation.
i just held a candle with the fire burning directly onto the candle itself,
then slant it so that it'll drop where i want to.
drop those on paper,
accumulate a bit of it and let it dry...then i let it drops again and began shooting them.

i like #5 & 8! marvellous!

Wow.. they look so great...

you must have a lot of patience.. and time.. keke..

Care to share the setting for these shots? :)

with 4 hours of blackout, i sure had a lot of time.

u won't even feel the slightest test of ur patience anyway...
