1. in what area is critique to be sought?
Sharpness and color tone and timing.
2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
Correct timing to take the shot, ( it should be a splash but instead 3 drop of water )
3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
Set-up in the dining table with flash firing at the background, take atleast 20 shots. This one is the most decent.
4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
In what area needs improvement.

I get dizzy looking at it.

What are you trying to tell the viewer? A macro of water drop? Colors? Reflection? Maybe you can try to de-saturate your image some what.

keep it simple, too many colors in your water... like shelomoh mention, see already gives me dizzy feel.

Good attempt. The colour of the picture is a great distraction to your focus object, ie water drop.

Agreed with rest, the colors make my head spins.

Thanks for all the comment and will take note of the color tone next time.
Try to snap another shot and make it simple..

The blue colour somehow made the droplets not stand out. So apart from what the others mentioned, this makes this photo lack a punch.
