Haha ya the other-half will always complain say we waste money on these kind of useless gadgets etc.. Should spend the $$ buy more clothes for myself(thats what my partner always tell me) Haha I tell her I rather save the $$ to buy a lens.. Same here, I always declare half price or said its 2nd hand for most of the camera stuffs I buy.. She will go mad if I tell her the real price..:bsmilie:

ya lor...these are big boys' toys but the other half never understand why ???
Somemore, I always declare to 'Chief Customs Officer (CCO)' half-price for all my gadgets or bought 2nd hand or during sale. ;p

i have more.but these are things i do rather frequently.
i have been neglecting these hobbies ever since i keesiao photography.
i spend almost entire sat pursuing photography, when i'm suppose to go joggin/swimming and cooking.
that's why i mentioned somewhere else i really wished there's 8 days per week.

confucious teaches you the theory.whether you wan to apply or not is entirely up to you dear...
thankfully, i not confucious else i kena silent-treatment (ST) from my other-half if she knows how much $$$$ I blow on my toys.
I have no choice but to resort to such tactics as I will die from the dreaded ST.
You women are soooo good in giving ST.

then you should be truthful, so that she will (eventually) understand your passion.

you think twice before going deep into better audio equipment.(unless u have very deep pockets)
my brother is an audiophile and i can tell you, it aint cheap man...
Haha yea I know. My photograhy keeps my wallt dry enough so I'm not tempted to spend more in that aspect. I think I'll stick to photography and reading with some TV watching thrown in.

if one day she found out, it will be WORSE .

eg, if one day her fren comes to your home and saw the equipment and commented the price...then u jia lat liao.

also, u dun live in fear of her knowing if u have told her the truth.

we went to a fren's home and i brought my cam along as i had a photoshoot in the afternoon, that fren saw my cam and commented on the price. imagine if i didn't tell her the truth and she got to know the truth from someone's else's mouth, it will not be very nice. though my wife is understanding and will not throw temper type, but i still think it is not nice loh...

little white, harmless lies to prevent any arguments is justifiable. it's better than blowing $$$ on pubbing, KTVing and even on 'alternative lifestyles'.
Yes, u r right. To us guys, hobbies are a passion. However, only guys will be able to comprehend the degree of passion. To the other half, it's a waste of $$$$. Venus and Mars are 2 differnt planets no matter what......

that's not a hobby.that's a LIFE.:bsmilie:
maybe i should say "money collector" . last time when i was in the NS, i knew this fren. he had a gf who like to save money a lot. once she saved and updated the passbook, she doesn't want to withdraw as he told me that if withdrew liao, the passbook not nice liao.

i think she wanted the passbook to show all the deposit entry and no withdrawal entry

on the other hand, guys dun understand why women buy so many pairs of shoes when they dun have so many legs as the caterpillars :bsmilie:

.... btw, think u haven't seen women who are passionate about their hobbies, there are women who love cooking and bought lots of expensive cooking equipment . also got women who love music and bought expensive muscial instrument...
