Portuguese navigator Pedro Alvares Cabral discovered Brazil in 1500. From then on, various export cycles dominated Brazil's economic development. During the 17th century, Brazil became the world's largest producer of sugar. This was soon eclipsed by the discovery and subsequent export of precious gold and diamonds. By the second half of the 19th century, however, Brazil was deep in a new cycle with coffee. Today, coffee is still one of Brazil's major sources of income.
We digress, but perhaps not much so, for this country which yields one of the most racially mixed peoples in the world (Portugese colonisers with native Indians and African slaves, Dutch & French second-wave colonisers with German, Italian, Polish & Japanese immigrants), would today allow us to harvest one of the finest gem to embody the spiritual soul of this fecund land east of the Andes.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are proud to present to you - only 15, Heloisa from Brazil.
Let not her youthful insouciance beguile you. Heloisa's coffee-black eyes betray windows to a distant land brewed in cross-cultural mystique and eclectic exoticism. Heady yet intense, peer into those dark pools, she dares you, and you will find yourself lost in endless beads of an arromatic blend so unusual yet so sweet and precious that perhaps even a trained pundit would be hard pressed to analyze its elements. Perhaps, she's a little bit of cocoa, a pinge of sugar, a karat of gem... or perhaps, she is simply one element all to herself; so entirely unique as to know no equal.
You are free to decide and come to your own conclusions. You who are so inclined to sail through uncharted waters to discover the wonders of the Americas.
Details: We invite 10 ClubSnap photographers to photograph Heloisa this Saturday, 13 May for 3 hours, starting from 3pm.
This session is priced at S$70 per pax. (Discount to VIP members apply)
