Hi All,

Anybody using AF 80-400 VR lens and how much is selling in Singapore?

My challenge on buying a Telephoto
Planning to buy the AF ED 80-400mm F4.5-5.6 VR lens for "shooting bird", many reviews complaint about it is not AF-S, so the speed is slow. Also, I was planned to buy AF-S ED 300mm F4 (IF) (77mm filter version), but I think the VR and Zoom is more attractive.

Regarding the quality of AF 80-400 VR lens, it is not as good as Sigma APO 80-400mm F4.5-5.6 EX OS according to the Book -Nikon DSLR bible, the Japan RRP for Nikon one is 230,000 yens but Sigma only costs 195,000 yens.

Welcome for your idea and comment, thanks :)

Yes, there is, production has stopped however, Lords still has 1 piece left :)

how does a TC2.0 + 70-200 f2.8 lens compare with the 80-400?

i am thinking the above setup might be better, since u can use either the shorter zoom, or longer as when needed.

anyway, what is the price of the 80-400?

From reviews I've read the 2xTC with the 70-200VR is better

Thanks :) I finally got the AF-S 300mm F4 with TC-17EII, effectively 510mm with F6.7. But this AF-S lens doesn't work on auto focus mode in F801s
