I was from Film, Sound & Video (Ngee Ann Poly) and felt tat I really learnt alot from the course. It's also very recognised abroad too cuz i was able to get advanced standings when I tried to apply for Australian Unis after that.
I didnt succeed in getting in on my 1st try. So I waited 1 year (retook some O levels subjects too to try to improve on my aggregate and english scores) and then re-applied the following year and managed to get it.
Don't be disheartened. If you wish to go for somewhere other than ngee ann's course, I'm sure that there are some other video courses around too. Nanyang poly? lasalle?
