Waiting..

Took this picture during my sister's engagement ceremony. I happened to be sitting next to her and took this snapshot as she waits for the men's representative to arrive. Both of us sitting on the bed and she was talking to one of our aunties. I relaise the picture is a bit on the soft side. and things i learn from these critiques should give me a better understanding of taking portraits, since most of my images are of action/sports type.

Beside the pic appearing soft, there's also slightly OOF, might be due to camera shake.
Maybe listing your EXIF info might help to understand more.
Another thing to take note of is the eyes. Right now, there's too much white and it looks alittle scary with the red veins at the corner(no offence to your sister).

Basically OOF, soft, body is disproportionately cut off and most importantly eye contact is nowhere here nor there.
