VR 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens Hood

Did someone see the Nikon HB-N101 lens hood in local stores? Nikon Singapore doesn't stock it (anymore) I haven't found a dealer who carries it here.

You can go to Alan Photo or any other photo store in Funan or Sim Lim. They do not carry the original Nikon Lens hood, but they have the 3rd party lens hood. Similar size and quality. I just bought one last week.

Is that a metal one? No vignetting?

Nope, this is the plastic one. Exact copy of Nikon's lens hood. I have both and they are exactly the same.... except it does not say "Nikon, Made in China"

I'm not sure, just out of curiosity? ? Do you really needs a hood for 10-30?
I do not use 1 on it. So far so good, no stray lights on image. Maybe, I treating my V1 as a CC. ;-)
BTW, can share the difference between using hood and without?
