Happened to meet Victor Gaskin, well known jazz musician last Friday evening. He's 67 years old, and has been playing for over 50 years. Very down to earth and easy going man, and he's also into photography.

Equipment specs:
Camera : EOS-30

Aperture : f/2.8
Shutter speed : 1/125s
Film : Kodak supra 800 @ 500

good composition
but i felt that a tad more light could fall into his innards where the index finger touches the strings. i felt that light was lacking. but relatively good when taking into consideration your lighting conditions :) btw.. interesting web site you have :) esp ur timeline of camera history :p

oh the whole its a pleasing picture :)

Yeah, it looks very different when I edit the image on my computer. Something gets messed up when posting, but I'm still figuring out what. It looks fine when I edit it - lots of details, etc, but that's a TIFF image.

Good artistic shot! Let me move this thread to "Ready, Light and Action" forum so that people who love stage/performance photography won't miss it.

By the way, I love jazz too. :)

classic....very nice shot.
hmm maybe i should pay my friend at her sso concerts a visit.
