Hi all,

Please give me your views. Thanks a lot in advance

1. In what area is critique to be sought?
General, especially composition and white balance, I guess. Also, how to edit to make it better (fyi, I've never done any editing to my pictures before!).

2. What one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
Hoping that it's good enough to be submitted for a travel photography contest.

3. Under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
I had to quickly frame & shoot this picture as I was travelling in a vaporetto through the Grand Canal when I saw this opportunity.

4. What the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture?
I thought that the 3 gondolas travelling together make the picture more interesting.

1. Minor editing at the most, recover highlights. And up the contrast a little.

3. Too much foreground, people are too small to make out. Zoom in a bit more next time.

Hi,

I think the subjects are too centralized and the gondolas are too "stacked up". Might be better if the gondolas are taken at an angle to show 3 gondolas more separated instead of having them all together stacked. :)
