Vegas 8, whats the best setting to make video even nicer?

Using handheld Canon HF100 Cinemode with 30pf + Auto White Balance.
rendered using Vegas 8, wmv 11, 720p, 6mb bitrate.

In Vegas, which rendering gives the best quality other than leaving it as raw .mts or should i have used different setting when taking the video?

Why not ask this in the "Video Editing Hardware/Software" section?

not only software but also asking if any hints to getting a "better" video. eg, if too slow to deploy tripod, any techniques to at least minimize seasickness or improve overall quality of video.

i mean other than just a panning shot, could i have done anything else to improve video content?
