Hi am looking to buy one but too much brands to choose from.
Would like a recommendation for an average quality one as i'm on a budget!
Singh ray filters are far too ex for me..
for cheaper options, is H&Y or DAISEE better?
Thanks alot in advance!! :)

What do you intend to use it for

It's quite useful because you have a range of densities to choose from in one filter. But I hope you know about the cross patterns when turning to higher densities. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think all Variable ND filters have this problem, no matter what price range it is. It's gets even worst on UWAs. =)

I'm using H&Y for about 2 years, no issue at all! But do note that every variable ND filters cannot be turned to the extreme in let's say, 12pm sun. It will cause a huge X through the frame.

I have the Daisee one and yes, at higher stops there is cross pattern through the frame. I would also have preferred that it stopped at both extremes instead of being able to freely spin around but I don't think other branded Grad ND filters have this feature either.
