Hi all,

Seeking advice if the Vanguard Skyborne 48 can pass through as a hand carry bag. I saw the physical bag today and it is slightly bigger than the 45. But now in a dilemma as I like a bigger backpack but worry it cannot make it through as a hand carry bag.

Looking forward to some advice from the bros here. Thanks.

There are defined measurements for hand carry luggage (size, weight). They vary between different airlines, too. Best to check online what is allowed and what not.

Basic IATA guidelines:

Cabin baggage should have a maximum length of 56 cm ( 22 in ) , width of 45 cm ( 18 in ) and depth of 25 cm ( 10 in ) including all handles , side pockets , wheels etc.

There are variations. Weights range from 5-10kg.

Some airlines are strict, some are flexible. Low cost carriers are less flexible but it's all about payments.
