wowah, what a boyfriend.

This is something my friend did a couple of years back.. he told her to a movie. sounds common, but he reserved the seats that made up a heart shape... and apart from two seats in the middle for the couple, the surrounding seats have roses/teddybears on them, so upon entering the theater the girl (and everyone else!) would be able to see the heart shaped design and the two special seats in the center =)

of course, its better u tell the cinema ushers beforehand so they can help you with it, or even let ur friends enter the cinema a little earlier to prepare. Good luck!

haha....

insane things are things that you do out of slight impulsiveness, and later look back and think if all that effort worth while. Well, thats what makes life interesting, isn't it?

If life is full of order and little rules, isn't a lot of time lost on losing those moments when you look back and smile ?

I have no regrets in what I have done then, cos student mah....lots of time and energy then. Those memories stay with you forever, and I need no physical object to constantly remind me of my memories. Tell me only when I start having memory loss ... :bsmilie:

Still at a loss what to do this valentines.... but thanks a lot on those suggestions. :D

Am surprising my gf to shangrila rasa sentosa this wkend, $388 nett include wine/dinner/breakfast.

It's all up to the individual to see what the couple likes. I know a lady friend who dislikes flowers, and the idea of 'useless' gifts. But Almost everyone likes a nice surprise every now and then, be it cheap/ex, tangible/intangible, short lasting/lasts forever. CS'sers will love it when they receive a $XXXX voucher from say CP or AP right?

Some say every day can be valentine's day, so no need to spend extra $ or effort for the actual v day, but is it the same every other day?

have fun!

Why not try something simple.

Tapao her fav food. Pack for an evening by the beach. Bring 2 glasses, a btl of champage (prices range from $18 for babychamp...to $XXXX for the high end stuff :p),
light a few candles (make sure got cover from wind...) and enjoy a peaceful evening together...

btw, rem to bring mosquito coil... :devil

Hmm, everyone is thinking hard for ideas during valentines, me too. I read the suggestions you guys made, and I am very grateful to see all those ideas, as they may come in handy  . Have been wanting to compile some photos all the while, so maybe I should get it done for valentines day.

Have to agree that V day has become very commercialised nowadays, even my gf and i are selling Swarovski Crystal Pendants at yahoo auction for this valentines day. :bsmilie: Also, dun you guys think we should show our appreciation once in a while, anytime in the year, instead of just valentines day? I give my gf flowers once every one or two months, but the price of flowers on v day

.......not only that, if the beach is quiet, you may start thinking if it's haunted

don't laugh, the last time a guy did that for me... after barely an hour we packed up and left... because wow the beach was SO quiet... or rather, TOO quiet

an alternative is a resevoir.... if you can excuse old people on their evening walks and the occassional muscle man running by :sweatsm:

Give her a baby! hehehe... kidding

woah....... give and do so much things then next time left with what? Got to keep some stuff for future use! You never know when you need to cheer her up or suprise her. Hold the gifts, shower with lots of love and care instead.

Giving a gift on a special day makes it a routine. Do it out of the blue and it'll mean even more.

Since you've got only a few working days, wouldn't the rush make a DIY item more memorable? :D My gf never complained about the crappy stuff I made for her. hehe.......

Remember, its always the thought that counts. (Unless we're talking about materialistic people here. :thumbsd: )

:D

whoa junyang, you are in jc2 or she is? my first thought was of a man going after a much younger jc2 girl. :bsmilie: oh well, nothing wrong with that either, haha ;)

oh well,

after considering and procrastinating so long, I have decided to make this day special by not doing much. :bsmilie:

lazy me... I will probably find a cheap kopitiam to eat, followed by illegally picking flowers at the botanical gardens, and recite a poem i found on the net.

May all of you have a wonderful day on this over commercialised event!

If yes hor... help me see if the duck is still there... hahah... coz it was my boyfriend who put the duck there :sweatsm: :sweatsm: :sweatsm: We haven't got time to drop by BG for quite some time to feed the duck....

reading poem at BG... same thing as my boyfriend did on our first date... only he wrote the poem lol.. come on, work your creative juices and write one for your gal... even if its not well written, with sincerity it'll sound much better than anyone else's! Gd Luck~

Get all the pictures you've taken with her over the 4 years together.
and use iMovie to create a musical picture slideshow of all the photos from past till present.

You can use songs like

"in this life" by colin raye
"love of my life" Jim brickman and michael w.smith
"beautiful in my eyes" by Joshua kadison

Save it to a dvd or cd. Trust me, it'll bring tears to her eyes. without even breaking the bank to buy her material things that she will throw in her closet, rot away or forget over the years.

Gotta love the Mac ;)

This is what i'm talking about

Easy and nice. Don't use imovie though. Use iphoto.
