i personally feel that the DOF is too shallow.. and e backgrnd makes it quite distracting and difficult to pick up the subject.

I think he PS the bokeh on purpose as he wanted to concentrate on the "kiss"
cos F7.1 how can bokeh so shallow?

The eyes shouldn't be bokeh-ed IMHO cos its also the expression that counts,
eyes of the subject always lead the viewer so keep it sharp ^^
