UV, PL Filter

Dear Guys,

What are these filters for? Sorry noob here please enlighten mi ;p​

 

[Buggy]

UV filter: absorbs ultraviolet rays without changing the exposure (reduce haziness or fogginess created by ultraviolet light), protects the camera lenses.
PL filter: increase contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds, reduce glare and reflections, and also reduces light that's entering the lens.
