UV filters HELP

Hi people, i'm aware that there are many types of different filters for DSLR
But i'm not too sure what is suits the best for shooting, scenery and people.

example

UV Filters
B+W UV-Haze 010 MRC XS-Pro
(Recommended for Wide Angle due to its slim profile)

what is UV haze? does it give a hazy outcome??
what type of uv filter can give me good bokeh pictures?
what is 010 MRC XS-Pro ?????

i own a 550D 18-135mm IS.

So which size of filter to buy? 67mm 72mm? how to see?

1. Go read about UV-Haze
2. Totally wrong about bokeh. filters dun help in bokeh. Its how you shoot
3. 010 MRC XS-Pro is just a model/term used by B+W XS-Pro is the slimmer version, F-Pro is the thicker version
4. Please go to canon website to find out the filter size of your lens. the below links is a good headstart.

Even in case you can't recognize the symbol for 'diameter' (it's an 'O' with strike through) you could take a ruler to measure the front diameter. :sweat:

It's clearly indicated on the lens; the sample below uses a 55mm filter

The 18-135 uses filter size of 67mm. Sorry for the spoonfeeding.

UV haze does not give hazy outcome and filters do not give you good bokeh, they often make it worse.

If you dare, don't bother with a filter. Unless your lens is very expensive. :sweat:

The one listed is mainly to protect your expensive lens. If you are using a cheap lens, then I don't see it a point. It will not help in enhancing your PQ. Some people mentioned about deterioration on PQ after putting a UV filter. But maybe not B+W.

Yeah, I just got 1 & follow by another 1 after using the first for a while. Good but ex if u compared to other brands.
