Cons digger.
any one knows the USM and SWM equivalent abbrevations for Sigma and Tamron lenses?
also the equivalent abbrevations they use for IS / VR?

For motor:
Canon is USM
Nikon is SWM
Sigma is HSM (Hypersonic Motor)

For Image Stabilising:
Canon is Image Stabiliser (IS)
Nikon is Vibration Reduction (VR)
Konica Minolta is Anti-Shake (AS)
Sigma is Optical Stabiliser (OS)
Panasonic is Optical Image Stabiliser (OIS)
