Using Flash

Hi all....

Just like to find some technique from u guys, how do u snap a photo using flash where the model is well exposed and wif the background slightly under ??

use as high a shutter speed as your flash allows...this reduces the amount of ambient light from the background, thus reducing the brightness of the background, while the flash provides enough light for your model to be well exposed...if your flash is powerful enough, and if your background isn't too bright, it might even be possible to have a blacked out background...

should use the highest shutter speed (flash sync speed) allowes, just underexpose the ambient light.

sorry mental block...yes, use highest shutter speed allowed...was thinking of something else...let me correct my earlier post :embrass:

is it true if there is another way, dat is to underexpose the whole picture... and to use flash on the model? does dat help?
