Hi guys,

I was wondering if there is a way to maintain the ambience
light while using flash.

Example during a gathering in the ball room, which is dimly but beautifully
litted (e.g. orange lighting). It is necessary to use flash, but flashes gives out white
lights. Is there way i could maintain the orange ambience while using flash?

care to give advice....anyone?

wrong place to start ur thread.. suggest u closed it and start a new one in 'Kopitiam'.

Shutter speed as low as possible, high ISO. Best of all, don't use flash if you want the atmosphere. Gotta warn you though, not everyone's cup of tea.

Yeah, I think should be in another forum. Since still related to photography, General and Tech talk shd be appropriate.

this is a generic setting that works in indoors dim lighting. exact settings will depend on the exact particular location. any exposure compensation that deviates from the following [as indicated by (+/-) ]may have to be factored into account.

(1) ISO 800 (+/-)

(2) manual exposure mode :
- shutter speed @ 1/20 (+/-)
- f5.6 (+/-)

(3) use bounced flash

you will have to experiment at will
