USER reviews for tokina 80-200

hi, anyone used before this lens? any comments?

I own this great lens, my is a ATX Pro 80-200 f2.8.
The build is like a tank and picture is great. I own the ATX Pro 20-35 & 80-200 both are great.
The lens is build similar to nikon len and if you are using D50 the camera motor drive might need to work harder.

I'm using the ATX version too. Fast AF and pretty sharp. Heavy & well build.

unless you need to build, else go for sigma if you are using canon, or nikon afd 2-touch if you are using nikon. they are pretty similar in price for brand new.

at slightly higher price, the sigma come with HSM, the tokina still rely on normal focusing mechanism, the newer sigma also come with pretty decent close up ability
