Unable to install device..

I've just bought my 1st canon 350D camera..and when i try to connect it to my laptop,it was unable to install it/installation not complete..

Anypiece of advice?

install with the disc that comes with the camera, possibly.

or you can try looking at canon website.

btw, why do you want to connect the camera?

wanna transfer the photos ive taken... planin to get a memory card reader soon

For certain cameras you have to set Transfer Mode to Mass Storage.

For Canon 350D you need the USB drivers from CD. It's one of those cameras that are not automatically mounted as mass storage device. One reason to use external card reader instead.
