Did you try CP Peninsula?

Try the Nikon CIR-PL II Slim 77mm. Shouldn't vignette.

You won't look back :)

Hi guys, just to check with you all experience Nikonians.

I brought the CIR PL-II filters today + the so called UV filter - from Nikon as well. I asked for the UV Filter and was given the part called "NC".

I realised that base on their Japanese only manual, Nikon have 3 types of Filter, named "NC", L1BC" & "L37C"

My question here is "NC" a UV(o) grade filter?

Trying to read the Japanese only Manual, seems like "L37C" is the UV....looks like I've got the wrong type.

BTW, using for D70S -Digital shots only.

Plse Help.

Thx,

NC is neutral colour, it is a highly coated piece of glass, it doesn't filter off UV rays though.

LC37 is the filter that filters off UV rays. If you're looking for UV filter, this should be the one.

I'm using both L37C and NC.

;p Yap...for the 12~24mm and also the 17~55mm

My 70~200 vR running B+W.

I actual prefer B+W filter, looks more robust and easier to clean.

Maybe it's preception thing or

I do agree the Nikon Cir. Polarizer if GOOD stuff........

Any of you guys try comparing the Hoya Pro 1 Filters vs the Nikons? :bsmilie:

Thx

you got the filter for which 12-24?

B+W has a slight red cast. Compare it with the L37C and you will see. :)
