ok, finalised...just realised there's another Ubin outing going on in another thread on CS :bsmilie:. Moved to 2 Sundays later.

Cost guide :

$4 per pax for boat ride (to and fro, standard no children price)
$8 to $12 for full day bicycle rental (kids bicycle maybe $6)
$5 for a simple meal (noodle and drink for example) at the coffeeshop
mineral water and can drinks cost $1+ per bottle/can on the island, good to bring your own supply
local coconut (huge) $2 (maybe $2.50 ... forgot )
thai coconut (small and extremely sweet) $2.50

Food and drinks: buy there, or can bring sandwich for picnic, one or two apples in the bag is not a bad idea also (imagine all tired under the hot sun munching on a crunchy sweet apple, heehee)

attire:
loose fitting and well ventilated, T-shirt and berms will do
proper shoes please, bare minimum sandals

ubin is not that big lah, even if lost just follow the road sure will kena the village one

Most places are renting bikes for $3 / day now. Don't expect super duper bikes though.

$2 per trip so to and fro is $4 mah, can't be go there no need to come back right

bike rental prices seem to have fluctuated much since i last went there, i don't know about the $3 bike, but i'll definitely not try that
