i think the MBS and all overpowered the couple and i couldn't "see" the couple...

difficult i guess... and also u pointed out u missed the guys' head..

think the perspective could be different to try to get the emotions, the expressions on the face.. or sth like that...

and maybe closer, don't really need to include the MBS...

photo duzen reallyh portray love per se.. dun see how MBS exudes that love thingy you know? ya maybe can change the title.. "shall we go to the casino?" would sound more apt.

Technically i thought it was a great shot.. but just need to find the right title.

dunno if it's me, but i think there's a slight tilt to the photo..

The problem, as others have mentioned, is really that you have 2 competing subjects that are not compliementary IMHO. Perhaps a shot from the seat from the right of the couple with MBS slightly OOF may work in this case - the title would then be "Future"

so i believe the general consensus is that the couple and MBS doesn't go in line with each other right?

i also agree that it would be better to get a close up shot capturing their emotions and expressions (without getting their attention lol).

how about the technical part of the photograph as pointed out by startrails? assuming that the focus is on the couple and MBS. for example, exposure not there, colour would be better instead of B&W, out of focus etc. anything that you can think of.

Hmm.. IMO I feel that B&W shouldn't be used here because it makes the otherwise ordinary scene look even more dull without colours. Also, you might want to crop away the F1 pit area(?) to the right of the MBS coz it is a tad too distracting and doesn't add anything to the photo. Just my 2 cents worth!

my 2c from newbie
i would juz take the MBS and the couple, less the dun know what building on the right. make it like portrait.
then everything else B&W but give the couple their colour. this would allow them to stand out.
a lower angle maybe better too.

always shoot in color... then u have the option to do the b&w after and compare... and shoot in raw if u can... makes adjustments so much more friendly...



in this case, i would say move to the right and shoot them, so they are in focus... leaving the distractions aside, this would help and you can leave it in color...

but then it also depends on the amount of light, whether its harsh etc...

im not asking them to pose or look at the camera. if they are aware that someone is taking photo of them, it is hard to capture their natural emotions & feelings even if you tell them to behave normally, pretend that no one is taking photo of them.

Other than that, the image is very flat and is a weak attempt at black and white.

Was it taken with the B&W mode in-camera?

You could try shooting in colour, correct the clours first and then use the channel mixer in PP to get a better black and white effect.
