Which one would you rather use?
What are the advantages/disadvanatges of these 2 products which can both be used to trigger off flash?

anyone knows?

:dunno:

Both can use to trigger flash unit but are two different things.

TTL Remote Cord, are use to provide TTL function when using the flash unit off camera.

Wireless Hotshoe Flash Trigger is just to trigger flash unit remotely, does not control the power output of the flash.

so which means that for those shots taken with more than 1 flash, only the main flash mounted on the camera will have ttl, whereas those additional flash will not have ttl and i control the flash output from the flash unit itself?

Wireless Hotshoe Flash Trigger, whether are operating using radio or Infrared, are to trigger single or multiple flash units wireless, be it hotshoe flash unit, hammer flash, studio flash or any type of flash, some flash unit may need receiver unit to enable being triggered. Wireless Hotshoe Flash Trigger does not able to control the power output of the flash unit. (some high end studio flash system have remote control to set power out of individual flash units)

You may use a hotshoe flash to trigger other remote flash unit, it depends remote flash unit have a wireless TTL feature or not, please refer to you camera and flash owner manual for more details.
