Nikon have a 1200-1700mm f5.6 constant aperture zoom lens.

True or false?

Again, don't write anything if you know the answer for sure!

... Only a 1200-1700mm f5.6-8 P Zoom Nikkor... it weighs 16kg, and also has its own carrying handle! Nikon built one to show it could be done...

What's the point of such a lens? It was probably made for a demo or proof of concept. Most humans will have to sell their house, car, wife and children to afford this.
