Like to know the diff for tripod & monopod. When to use a tripod or monopod? Thanks!! :)

as the name suggests, mono=1 tri=3.. monopod has 1 leg, tripod has 3..

tripod for a solid platform to shoot, monopod for fast deployment/movement and stability for heavier lenses..

Tripods are more for the fixed locations or when you need extra stability.

Monopods are more for mobile usage or in places where you need just a lil more support than your hand holding capabilities.

Tripod have 3 legs and Monopod only have 1 leg.

Tripod is more stable and Monopod is more moblie, so depend which is your priority.

Note though some monopods can open small little legs and act as temp tripods. On general monopod is a more mobile platform compared to tripod but with less satbility.

tripods for long exposure
monopod for long waiting

you can use tripod as a 'monopod',extending the telescopic legs and use with 3 legs clumped together

but u can never really use a monopod like a tripod as it only has 1 leg. those mini legs on certain monopods dont really count lol

Tripod completely stable, monopod assists in stability..

Tripod you can take self-photos of yourself painting graffiti on the supreme court walls..

Monopod cannot =(
