Hi all, i've been contemplating buying a tripod for shooting scenery etc. But there are so many different models out there, any recommendations? For an average tripod. Im using D70s btw.

Thanks.

PPCP tripod at $140 is not bad for its price.

got cheaper than this??budget 80 bucks
:) ;)

It's difficult to recommend a cheaper yet above average tripod for an SLR because you have to factor in your future better (thus, probably heavier) lenses and a cheap tripod won't do.

The one recommended is good or you could consider the SLIK PRO series but it would also set you back slightly above S$100/-.

The other alternative is to hit the B&S Forum.

Buy once... buy a good one.

What equipment are you going to put on the tripod???

Can you imagine, putting a $3k equipment on a $70 tripod, do you feel safe to leave alone?

That's right. Buy a good one, and call it a day. No more upgrades. :bsmilie: How about a Gitzo? Lightweight, stable, and good. Though a bit pricey, but it's worth it.
