Tripod Trouble

Hi everyone, realli hope you can help me...

For flight travel overseas, how do you guys transport your tripods onto the plane?

Do you have to check in your tripod? Then ball head - keep with you?
Require a good paded bag? Recomend pls.

ah...flyin off tonight and i'm bring a smaller tripod n it fits into my luagge....

if too long, check ur tripod in and keep ur expensive ball head in e luggage, padded with ur clothes around it....

check it in. most airline will not allow you to carry it on board.

I fit mine into my carry-on cabin trolley bag...without the head attached, it just fits snugly into the bag...

I try not to check anything in...
