Trial and Error

Hi Guys,

The following are the shots I took yesteday from my corridor. The settings are all on TV at 30sec at ISO 100. I used this to achieve the maximum DOF, which range around 6.3.

Appreciate if you could advise on which is the better composition and if my theory above is correct.

No post processing done. Prefer to shoot and print.

See the lines on the sky? Any idea what are those?

Like #8 the best.. But most of the pics are tilted to one side, seems like it's sliding to one side.. Think other pro in CS can tell you how to rectify it. The colours are very rich and nice but the center block lights are over exposed, and seems to be distracting..

Same as you, always like to shoot and print, but of me is i'm lazy to go edit it. But saw someone saying "to go into dslr, it's impt to learn photoshop and other editting tools"

And i thought higher F value = more DOF (eg: 6.3 compare to 22)??

Do you mean the pictures are not straight? Did not placed the camera properly?

yup.. as in it's slanted to one side.. i also have this problem and as i always take landscapes photo, i use the sea horizon or buildings to use as a rough estimation.
