In my last trip to Europe, I plan my trip around Munich, visited some sweet old towns along the Romantic road such as Rothenburg and Bamberg, love these places.. Berchtesgaden also not bad
And then I cross border to stay a few days in Salzburg and Hallstatt.. these are lovely places to visit too..
