1. in what area is critique to be sought?
creativity, exposure, lighting, focus, etc.
2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
nice picture of toy inline with its theme, could be used to promote interest in the toy
3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
at home on the floor, my toddler hanging around and just feeling like taking pictures
4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
better than those i usually took

The contrast between the forground shadow and the light source overexposure at the back is very distracting. Try negating the shadow with another light source or two so that attention is focused to your subject rather then around your subject. Also try to use different angles to capture your subject and also go closer if the lens permits. Try getting a bleached white background colour instead of off white/orangy white. It will compliment the black in your subject well. Those white fluorescent lamps can help greatly.
