Took some shots today of my colleague's customised Transformer, using a simple DIY setup.

Here is a sample pic. More to come when I have the time.

Hi thanks for your comments! Even though I do not collect transformers or know anything much about them, I found this custom version by my friend very attractive. It is a labour of love to built one. It is also one of the few times where I attempt to do still life shots. :)

Nice custom!
But 1st look at it remind me of OP death.
Remember he became black & white, when he died.;p

Thanks All for the comments! I have some comments by a friend of the friend that the picture is too dark and hard to see the details. I personally think it fits the mood of the transformer, makes it more 3D and enhance the metallics of the paint. What do you think? I hope you can do a poll on my blog for your opinions at the top here

Cheers!

hey great model there.. i suggest you do more shots of the moel from a different angle like how us tiny humans would be when we look up to them or focus on a part of the model like the helmet/head or the sword.

oh yea im talking about the 1st model btw, your 2nd one looks great though. :)

Customized? Means bought from custom made collections, or your friend made it by himself? :O

Interested to know what's the material used! :D

Sorry for the very very late reply! He painted the Transformer himself.
I am not too sure how he does it as I am not really a toy collector, hehe, but you may want to contact him through his blog here...
