Too much 'swimwear' photography recently?

I can't help it but wonder why is there a sudden increase of 'swimsuit' photography in this forum. And I notice that the model is not even wearing bikini or swimwear, but bra and panties (and even if they ARE swimwear, they are too plain and boring to be swimwear). When I view these photos, I have to be discreet in case people mistook me for viewing porn photos.

I mean, swimwear are meant to be seen, but not underwear. So I do not see a need to exploit these beautiful models to wear so little just to practice photography. The initial photoshoots with Leen and others are well-done, but as the weeks went by, I feel that the objective of such photoshoots is lost.

supply and demand. people want glamour in thier portfolio.

it is many photogapher shooting a single model... so all of them post 3 times you will see 9 times.... kekekeke

i won't comment too much on the issue because people shoot what they like to shoot and want to shoot. as to whether they are tastefully or beautifully done or not, that's a separate matter.

Resistance is futile, guys will always like scantly dresses gals. Using the excuse of art/photogaphy just makes easier to explain to your mom/GF .

Maybe its because most people do not have the chance to shoot bikini models thats why the demand is there. Hence they post for critic. More posts does not mean majority of model shoots are bikini shoots. If they become the norm then other form of photography might take over in demand. Anyway let them shoot what they want, its what they like. Freedom of expression... We don't like to be treated like kids.

Yes, for the month of May there were many such outdoor shooting. But only got to shoot 1 session and got busy with others things. Once in a while shooting bikini or swimwear is okay but not too often else may get tired of it that's for me ... dun know about others ...

We will needs to experiment with different models and different shooting style .. it is a long learning process to master your skills ... :bsmilie: sometime win sometime loose ..

April/May/June -> Summer -> Hot weather -> Swimsuit!

Anyway, it's either summer time or hot season where one will find swimsuits and crowded swimming pool/beaches. One don't expect crowds of such nature in "winter" time or rainy seasons right?

Swimsuit photographer is also a branch of photography. There's a fine line between sunny/healthy look versus sleazy/porn look. If anyone can show competence in shooting it nice, there's no reason to find it too much, except perhaps nasal block? :devil: :devil: :devil:

If you feel uncomfortable viewing swimsuits, then perhaps you shouldn't view them. Just close the browser window immediately when you see a swimsuit. You got freedom of choice.

It's not nice to stare, even if a scantily clad lady walk by.

We are talking about 20-30mins of time looking at the scantily clad lady, asking her to strike the poses you believe is nice. She'll even smile at you for staring (thru viewfinders of course).
