Too Cool for Old School

did a little photoshoot for some friends, first time handling such a shoot.
was sort of an "old school" theme, processed the pic on DPP using Faithful photostyle plus some desaturation, not really sure it conveys that theme.

would like to hear some comments on the pose, lighting, composition and processing..

not sure what is "old school".. but this pic didn't work for me.. styling.. posing.. and composition wise..

for one.. the background is way too distracting and cluttered..
