Time Lapse question..

Hey guys.. I'm quite interested in time-lapse photos and am planning to start doing some of my own. However, i've got a question. What's the difference between taking a time-lapse movie and a normal movie clip using a video camera? Thanks!

A time lapse is when you take one frame every certain time period. For example, one shot per second, one shot per 5 seconds, one shot per minute etc. A normal video is where you take a "normal" frame rate, which is about 25 to 30 or so frames per second (different devices have different frame rates).

ya.

a video is actually made up of many many still pictures (frame), typically 25 or 30 frames per second (fps), so a time-lapse shot, say 1 shot per second, is just similar to extracting 1 frame from the 25/30 frames per second.
