It was a peaceful and quiet morning when I took this picture at Gyantse.
History:-
In the year 1904, this was the same fortress where the brave and unyielding Gyangtse people using primitive weapons and fought against the British invaders who had equipped with advanced guns.
The Gyantse people jumped off the Cliff without surrending.

oeyvind try to level the horizon is possible.
Thanks Oeyvind for your feedback.. rather trickly horizon line.of this
fortress on this 'Irregular" mountain, will try on the leveling. ;)

Climbing the fortress is so tiring. I do really admire Tibeatan, they are so physically strong. :bsmilie:

Scanner, I totally agree with you.... the Tibetan( regardless of age) are
really physcially very strong and fit....we still got to get used to the Altitude.. ;) Luckily we have the camera as our companion while climbing

Very nice and very accurate exposure. I am see many less experienced photogs having over-exposed shot for this due to the whites in the photogs... Great shot worthy of a postcard!

Benign... hope your dream of going there will come soon.
I am using D70 body, with 35-135 nikon lens and a CP filter.
Hand-held shot without tripod. Set manually at F8 & 1/60sec.
The natural morning lighting is one of the most important factor
for achieving such shot.. luckly me :)
