Tianya Soft Diffuser - any experience to share ?

Hi. Wanted to find out if anyone has experience with this Tianya Soft Diffuser filter (fitted to Cokin P system) ? If so, possible to share either by posting or by PM. Wanted a filter to create a soft portraiture as an alternative to PP. Thanks

I have the cokin soft filter, but I never use it. You can have a sharp picture and soften in Photoshop or gimp, but you can't take a soft picture and recover sharpness and details from it.
Most people will do masking and selective softening in post production instead of using soft diffuser filter
