I tried 3 famous brands of Bak Kwa this year - all pretty so-so. Even the Lim brand very disappointed.

What was your experience?

Have been refusing to buy CNY Bak Kwa for many years... don't like it when they jack up the price for something I could afford to eat every other month at lower price, only during CNY...

Agreed. Secondly, some types are simply too sweet. Most Bak Kwa benefit from the addition of mustard :)
