think carefully before your spend your hard earned money.... economy is bad....
D90 is a good buy.... and the lens, you can buy one at a time, there is no hurry....
the thing is to buy what you need.... :)

 wat lens u getting to go along with your D90

Go with the Kit lens. Because in the meanwhile with the kit lens, you'll have sufficient focal range to play with. Then later on when you think you'd like to move on, go get the 50mm prime. In that case you won't have to spend so much at one time and end up going home thinking over things like "omg omg omg which lens should i try first?". Sorta like you know, get a grip of something first then move on to another. The kit lens is pretty nice imho. I've got me a kit lens and i'm getting the prime this month. So i'd say take it slowly and for starters i'd say the kit lens gives you plenty of things to try (can go wide, take portraits, go for closeups, etc).

about myself:

I bought D60 last year at April.
Was very pissed with 18-50 and was very reluctant to change lens every now and then.
So i wanted to get 18-135 (D80 kit lens), because that was one of the most affordable kit lens that time.
However, i find that I would like to push further the focal length as i am too used to a long zoom prosumer camera.
Considering that 18-135 doesnt have VR at all, that gave me more reason to get 18-200VRII, along with some recommendation from Kenrockwell's website.
Despite the pain ($$$), i finally gotten 18-200VRII within the first month after my D60 purchase.
I have not regretted it (except for the lens creep problem).
The other lens which I wouldnt give a 2nd thought is the 50 f1.8 since it is so cheap yet can produce good bokeh with a good fov focal length.

However after being a DSLR user for 8 months, i have found out my strengths, potentials, specialisation, etc, and started to realise what types of lens I need (and do not need most importantly).
It is over time, learning and experience to find out the answers to your needs, and thus, dont waste that much $$$.
Hence, patience is the key.

Sold the kit 18-105mm n my 3 week old 55-200mm.

Now I have the 18-200mm VR for convenience n the 60mm Micro AF-S for close ups.

Will use the sales proceeds to get the 70-300mm VR or teleconverter.

PC show prices is always RRP. standard price no reduction but with more freebies.

If you need the freebies then ok, else just go down to any of the popular shops mention here and try it out then buy.
