Hi Guy, a noob here seeking advice from the pros...

I'm looking into buying a 2nd E-500... What would be the correct price to buy? And kindly advice on what are the things to look out for, i.e warrenty, lens etc...

Thx Pros...

erm, if im not wrong, tats a discon model rite??

not too sure about the price

but you should look for:
- shutter count (how many pics the camera has taken...the lower the better)
- dust in the body/lens (take a few pics of a light background at the smallest apperature and see if you see any)
- physical damage to the body or lens (scratches, dings, dents, etc)
- any funny sounds when autofocusing, when taking a pic, or any rattles
- choose the smallest apperature and press the depth of field button and look at the apperature blades to see if there's any damage
- make sure zoom and autofocusing rings operate smoothly
- test flash

that's about all i can think of now

If He's selling E500 body + 14-45mm and 40-150mm lens @ $900... shutter count >3k...
Is is cheap or ex??

do a search in b&s for prices of similar sales and you will probably be able get a better idea on the market rate for 2nd hand items.

you can see here http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=171706 for the same model at brand new prices on the market. do take note of the warranty period left as well.
